Meet Juan Pablo Guarín-Camargo, a journalist whose journey from a Rutgers networking event to producing news at CBS Detroit is nothing short of inspiring. I first met Juan less than ten years ago at a student career networking event at Rutgers University. From the start, we shared an immediate chemistry and a passion for journalism. We connected over everything from diversity and sports to Latino art, creating a bond that was shaped by our shared experiences at Rutgers. Juan’s path to success is one of dedication and hard work. After earning his master’s degree at Syracuse University, he jumped into the real world of journalism with an internship that would prove to be the launching pad for his career.
